Mr. James Yarussi, 91, of Plainfield died Thursday August 22, 2013 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Funeral Tuesday August 27 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Visitation 9:30 A.M. to time of service. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia, NJ. James was born and raised in Westfield, he lived in No. Plainfield and settled to Plainfield. He worked for 25 years at Tingley Rubber Corp. in So. Plainfield retiring in 1988. James was a member and bartender at the Oak Tree Road American Legion in So. Plainfield. His favorite hobbies were playing golf and riding his bike. He served his country during WW II with the US Army-Air Force. Surviving are his 3 sons and 2 daughters; his sisters Mary DiNizo and Helen Materia; James niece Lori A. Tangorra, who cared for him in his senior years, and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose Yarussi; his first wife Delores and his second wife Shirley Yarussi.
